Beware of vectors!
Vectors are living organisms that carry and transmit an infectious pathogen to another organism, whether human, animal or microorganism
WHAT ARE THE INSECT VECTORS?
Vectors are living organisms that carry and transmit an infectious pathogen to another organism, be it human, animal or microorganism. The most important and abundant are known as Insects and we can distinguish three major types according to their way of life:
They are those who need to be nourished by blood to carry out their life cycle (mosquitoes)
They are the ones that feed on dead skin (mites).
They are the ones that make our body their home (fleas, lice, bedbugs).

Mosquitoes are the best known vectors and people around the planet.
They need water
They need water and a warm temperature to complete their life cycle and have an enormous capacity for adaptation, since if the conditions are not adequate, their eggs are inactive until they are suitable
Only mosquitoes female bites, because they need the blood to develop their eggs
Why do they bite me?
The mosquito females use their sense of smell to detect the carbon dioxide we exhale with respiration and odors such as perspiration or urine, as well as body temperature to choose their victims
Some people have a natural odor that camouflages them and protects them from mosquito bites
Is there any way to escape?
Fortunately science is discovering substances and natural extracts (like citriodiol) that make us invisible to mosquitoes
WHAT IS THE MOST LETHAL ANIMAL?
Number of people killed per year by animals

> 2500 Roundworm
>10.000 Freshwater snail
>10.000 Tse-tse fly
